Baine Brooks of Two Rows Breweries and Grills was appointed president of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association when the new GDRA 2009-2019 board was installed June 23, 2009. The board’s 2009-2010 term begins July 1. 

 

“There are a lot of fun and exciting things coming up in the year ahead,” Brooks said. “The board is much diversified – members come from all different backgrounds with a variety of expertise. I look forward to working with them and learning from everyone.”

 

Brooks is currently the president of operations and partner of Two Rows Breweries and Grills, a $12 million restaurant organization with four units (Two Rows Grill in Addison, Allen, Garland and Houston). He also serves on the board of directors for the North Texas Food Bank and was a 2009 Lifetime Recipient Award for Allen/Lovejoy PTA Council. Brooks has held several GDRA positions, including 2008 1^st Vice President Greater Dallas Restaurant Association – Government Affairs, 2007 2^nd Vice President Greater Dallas Restaurant Association - Education Foundation and from 2006-2008 he chaired the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association Golf Tournament, raising over $55,000 annually.
